Print Trials

Some of my first trials with Lino

Self Portrait Lino

The image below is a faulty photograph of one of the prints however,
I felt the effect complimented the design and could be seen to add to the final work.

Bird Patterns

A collection of small collages I made last year
From what I can remember I was looking into the work of an artist who specialised in dainty collage piece; the pieces I saw used cut outs with newspaper and sepia tone papers, often incorporating the forms of birds. These designs were likely a result of of that influence plus the more vibrant, erratic compositions of Robert Rauschenberg- and artist I was also researching around the time.

The Works of Neglected British Artists Exhibition

Self Portrait Detail

Self Portrait

Work produced under the alias Edward Fanes as part of the exhibition.
Produced as a response to the work of David Hockney and Ruskin Spear. The combination of both artist's work in the piece was supposed to reflect the key influences in Fanes' career . Hockney and Spear were both mentioned in the fictional biography presented beside the painting.
